Works like a charm, perhaps not for espresso, but I do like my Melitta drip to be on the fine side and this does that well. I love the easy pour out and clean-up with this unit and I love the amount of time I save by not having to clean so much. I don't expect it to last forever, I use it more than once per day, but at this price, it already is a good buy, and I will buy again assuming it can grind well for a year which I don't doubt.
Conical burr is overpriced if you ask me, but you may need it to get that "extra-fine" grind, although this unit can certainly go fine enough for a decent one if you go past the auto-timer function.
