We gave this kettle to my father-in-law for his birthday (he's been forgetful with regular kettles on the stovetop)who enjoys hot and iced tea regularly. They really love it, heats up fast and SAFE! Hi,

If you are like me and is considering purchasing this product so you don't boil water in any sort of plastic container, then beware:

Though this kettle is entirely stainless steel on the inside as well as the outside, there are two little holes on the inside, near the handle, where the water goes through for the water indicator. Unfortunately, these two holes are insulated (waterproofed) with some sort of rubber/soft plastic substance, and the water indicator itself is made out of plastic rather than glass.

Besides that, this kettle does its job very well and I think most of the other reviews already pointed out the goodness and flaws of it.

UPDATE 02/19/2010:
This kettle is still going strong and survived 2 house moves with no problems. Seems pretty durable. I found I actually wished it can boil more water than the 1.75L, as it is a very convenient kettle, and, of course, the outter shell being too hot during water boiling, like the other reviews mentioned.

My previous grinder was very substandard. It didn't hold enough beans for a whole pot of coffee, ground everything very inconsistently, and it was impossible to use without making a mess. I went looking for a new one, but simply didn't have the budget for the $100 burr grinder for which I lusted.

This grinder fits the bill and is such a great value for the price. It grinds a whole pot's worth of beans in one batch, and there is NO MESS. I'm hardly a connoisseur of coffee, but to me it does a perfectly capable job of grinding the beans for my drip coffee maker. An added bonus is that it works more quickly than my old grinder, and is just a little quieter. And it looks pretty cool, too! It also simplifies coffee grinding with its auto-off feature; now my husband, who previously claimed that grinding coffee was "too tricky" and never made the coffee, might actually do it once in awhile. (A girl can hope, anyway!)

My only sadness is that I noticed *after* I bought this one that there is also a red one available. I wish the red was listed as part of this listing so I hadn't missed it the first time around. If you'd like a red one, it's available here on Amazon, just not in this listing.

After traveling to Australia for three weeks, my parents returned with many stories. One was a side note about how every hotel room they stayed in had an electric tea pot, and they had tea every single day, sometimes more then once. I didn't see a different between a microwaved cup of water and a tea kettle, but since my Dad raved about the convenience, I thought it would make a perfect Christmas gift for someone who is notorious for 'having everything.'

This blower is quite strong. It is great for cleaning out computers. This is much more economical than buying compressed cans of air. The can does get warm when you use it, but nothing to worry about. This would also work great for blowing up air mattresses for camping or whatever. BUGS

It's inexpensive, efficient, and seems to be well made. The "Chamber Maid" system seems to me a bit gimmicky -- it doesn't seem to do anything that could be done with a couple of taps on the side of the bowl. In fact - I usually do that instead. I don't miss the feature, so I don't consider it a bad point that it doesn't really seem to be effective.

It grinds quickly and seems to do it pretty evenly, too. It is definitely loud though. Being the first one up in the morning, the coffee making is my job. Since access to our garage is through the kitchen, I just step out into the garage and run the grinder so I don't wake anyone up.

We purchased this grinder perhaps three months ago, and it works GREAT! It allows you to get just the grind you want, and just the amount you want, and you can take the chamber off the motor to clean it in the dishwasher, etc. It's really nice.

For three months, that is. Last week, while grinding for 8 cups of coffee, there was a CRACK! and then the motor was running with no load. When I looked inside the chamber, one of the three "arms" of the Chamber Maid system had broken off. I took the chamber off the motor and found the gear underneath the chamber was broken in half.

I guess three months for $25 is about right, but we have replaced it with a Bodium Burr grinder.

Teens are rough on electric pencil sharpeners. I don't know exactly how they do it, but bits get jammed in there, the motors burn out, they grind on and on. Not this one. I really like it. I like it so much I bought a second one for my kids at home to use. The large receptacle for the shavings holds a lot. I sharpens quickly and efficiently and you know when the sharpener is done. I have students who stop by my room just to use the sharpener, though I like to pretend it's to visit with their favorite teacher. I like how it works on different sized and shaped pencils - I have a student who uses these wierd triangular pencils and they're no problem in this sharpener. I'm surprised that other people have found it loud - it's certainly no louder than any other electric I've used and even quieter than many. It has stood up well to daily classroom use including a bunch of standardized testing sessions. Put this item on your teacher wish list - maybe some nice parent will buy it for your classroom!

I had this kettle once before until my mom borrowed it and loved it so much she never returned it! This kettle has a fast heat up time, the sides really do not get as hot as the older one I had, the spout is large but as always with hot water be careful when pouring! The base and bottom of unit stay cool to the touch. Water in the pots stays hot for a long time. I use this at home and at work. Easy to clean, and looks great too.

I found this alarm clock to be nice and compact, which was a great plus to save space on my night stand. The functions were incredibly easy to figure out, and the color changing face was a nice plus. I thought the alarm was plenty loud enough to wake me up, but I was very disappointed in the snooze function. I am one who likes the luxury of being able to hit the snooze button for at least a half hour before I actually have to get up. Unfortunately this snooze function only allows three 5 minute snoozes before the alarm stops. If you are like me, I am worried at how easy it may be to it for me to hit the snooze those three times and then never wake up because the an alarm never sounds again. All in all, it is a good alarm clock for the price, and if the minimal snooze length isn't an issue for you, I would recommend this product.

Screen produces better than expected image. Remote has limited range (under 15'). Shipper destroyed the first one I ordered, but Amazon was great and immediately shipped a second one.
